Misconception Hip Hop Dance Company is a multicultural dance group on campus that draws inspiration from not only hip hop, but other styles including modern, contemporary, jazz, Bhangra, etc.
MCOC is more than just a team- it is a family! We are looking for energetic dancers who are open to trying new things and learning new styles. We encourage all dancers- whether advanced or beginner- to try out!
Tryout information:
Thursday August 27h
10PM
SRC Studio A
On Thursday, we will be teaching a short routine choreographed by our Executive Board Members. Don't worry about getting it perfect the first day! You will not be judged at all on Thursday.
Sunday, August 30th
3PM
Fetzer Fencing Room
Sunday will be the Final Audition. You will be trying out the routine learned on Sunday in small groups of 3-5 people.
Team Responsibilities:
Practice 3x a week
Practice >3x a week around Step Show, Competitions, and other large events
Performances throughout the school year, for various campus functions.
Team dues to pay for t-shirts, workshop/competition fees, and other team activities.
