“Cultural diversity is a common heritage of humanity. Sharing oral traditions, we bridge this cultural gap.” -Muñoz
The Palladium project shares the life, love and passion of music and cultural blending. Through cultural integration of Latin American music and dance within the Gypsy, Judaic, Moorish-Spanish art form of Flamenco The "Palladium" references the Academy of Music/concert hall/movie theatre/nightclub built in 1927 in New York City, which was later became regarded as a prestigious and desirable venue to perform primarily because of the amazing sound developed by Richard Long.
The strong reference to the Palladium exists as it was places like this that lent themselves to creation and re-invention through the people that visited, studied and performed here. Our Palladium Project is that: Co-Composers, A Symphonic Conductor and Flamenco Artists meeting to create a full-out integrated Flamenco Performance of forms focusing on Ida y Vuelta and returning to Flamenco, Flamenco.
Innovation originates with a profound understanding and enduring respect for tradition. This is our first responsibility as cultural artists. It is the vision that drives the creation of the Palladium Project.
