Professional/Open: Anyone is welcome to enter this division. Those that have received financial compensation for teaching or performing in any dance form within the past 5 years MUST enter this division. Amateur: Has not received financial compensation for teaching or performing in any dance form within the past 5 years. If one person in the dance partnership has received financial compensation for teaching or performing in any dance form within the past 5 years, they must dance in the Professional/Open Division. A dancer that qualifies and dances in the Amateur division may also dance in the Professional/Open division with a different partner. Each entry must pay an entry fee. You should enter with a pre-determined partner of your choosing. You will dance with several couples on the floor at once to a random song chosen by the DJ. No routines or costumes allowed. No aerials or lifts. All dancers must keep at least one foot on the floor at all times. Instructors and Professionals of May I Have This Dance Inc or the Willowbrook Ballroom are not eligible to enter the competitions.
