Day 1 (Feb 20) 2:00-4:30 p.m.
1st hr : Everyone together baile (marking, llamadas, remates, patas) /accompaniment/cante/compás
next 45min : chose a group (1) cante/accompaniment focus with Javier (2) review pasos learnt in the 1st hr with Rhina
last 45 min : Everyone together the overall picture (concept of bulerêas) / application time with instructions
Day 2 (Feb 21) 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Everyone together - soniquete, reviews from the fist day - baile to singing, singing to baile, what to look for as accompanists - simulating fiesta / apply everything you learned
February 20 & 21: Javier Heredia, cantaor/bailaor "festero", will be back in Santa Cruz to give a flamenco immersion workshop, "Soniquete por Bulerías"!!! This 2-day workshop includes the instruction on cante (knowledge & practice), baile (marking, llamadas, pataitas, etc), and guidance on the focus and importance of accompaniment. There will be an application time allocated to wrap up the workshop in the ambiance of fiesta, too! Don't miss this opportunity - for everyone and all levels!!!
