Oakland is becoming one of the first cities to proclaim August "Ballroom Dance for Fitness" Awareness month! Join in the celebration with me, Ruth M. Caspary, the Mayor of Oakland, Libby Schaff and all the great dancers from LMDC on Friday, August 12, 2016. Dance the night away with lots of choices of dances, 4 rooms to flow through.
Schedule:
7pm -8pm - Watch amazing Ballroom, Tango and Salsa performances and hear the Mayor's proclamation
8pm - 11pm - Part Salsa lesson and Bachata lesson (mixed level)
*** DJ dancing with DJ Antonio Chavez (in the Multipurpose room upstairs)***
8pm - 11pm - Genral Ballroom Dancing in the Main Ballroom
8pm - 11pm - West Coast Swing with Shin Aoki
8pm - 11pm - Argentine Tango with Mat MaMoody
$10 before 7pm
$15 after 7pm
doors open at 6:30pm
Refreshments included.
BYOB in Salsa room. But, keep it real guys!
Security on hand, free lot parking, great location next to Lake Merritt and Whole Foods in Oakland
