Ever wanted to learn the foundations of Hip Hop / Street Dance styles? Here's your chance.
We focus techniques, movement vocabulary, history and culture. Styles range from Breaking and Popping to House and raw Freestyle, depending on the instructor. We will identify and explore the connections between these dances and the breath and intention-setting to make this a holistic movement experience. It’s not what you do, but how you do it and how you transition in and out of it that is going to make this class so fun. On the outside we learn new movement to shape shift our bodies in space. On the inside we create new spaces with the music and our focus. Come ready to strengthen your ability to express. Come ready to expand the link between mind, body and breath. Come ready to develop and transform your dance practice.
