ALL ABOUT MILONGA! - Technique and Musicality
Open Level
We are excited to present our Milonga workshop with Junor and Guadalupe! So what is MILONGA you ask? is a genre of music under the tango umbrella that is slightly quicker than the traditional tango rhythm. Milonga is typically characterized by fun and upbeat rhythms and often times is accompanied by happy and playful lyrics.
This workshop is an intensive hour and a half workshop covering the basics and fundamental principles of the milonga dance. No prior experience or partner necessary. It is suitable for BOTH absolute beginners who want to take their first tango steps AND for those of you who have taken tango classes and want to dive deeper into the other genres of tango.
1:30-3:30pm
AFTERNOON PRACTILONGA
Supervised by Guadalupe Garcia and Junior Cervila
We look forward to dancing with you, whether you are a beginner, or a regular at our practicas, please join us!
We will have fabulous tango music imported directly from Buenos Aires. Our Practilonga combines the best of a Milonga and a Practica. It’s a place to practice and a great excuse for a party! Practice steps you learned in class/workshop, ask a friend to show you something new, or just dance the afternoon away to an awesome tango selection. We provide water, refreshments and snacks.
3:30-5:00pm
