CAMELIA is a tremendously popular dancer in today’s international oriental dance world. Her passionate and energetic style has captured the attention of many lovers of the dance, and she in now very much in demand as a performer and as a teacher.
SAHAR SAMARA, currently the hottest rising star in Cairo. A protégé of Aida Nour, her style is unique and she blends both classic and modern in her Oriental performances and her folkloric repertoire is breathtaking. She began her professional dance career in Sharm El Sheikh Egypt as a member of Tito’s folklore troupe. Soon she was a popular soloist and she was prompted to move her career to Cairo. Sahar is the star dancer at the Blue Nile River Boat located in Zamalek, the entertainment center of Cairo..
LUNA OF CAIRO is an American belly dancer living and dancing in Cairo. She has become one of the most sought-after dancers in Cairo. She has been featured as a teaching assistant in the instructional DVDs of Raqia Hassan and Dalila.
3 Competition Categories for 2017 are Rising Star, Queen, and Group.
FESTIVAL LOCATION:
New venue this year: Camelot Ballroom is the largest ballroom dance studio in the Kansas City area. It has 6,000 sq. ft. a gorgeous floating hardwood dance floor, mirrors, and beautiful decor. All workshops, shows, activities will take place at Camelot Ballroom.
