Are you new to Tango? Immerse yourself into the century-old elegant dance of Argentine tango! You will learn dance steps set to the music of the 'Golden Era' as well as modern tango music. After learning a few basic steps and the social etiquette of the dance, you will be ready to go out and dance at the numerous tango venues and events in Austin. No partner necessary and no experience required. Come with two left feet! We will have several right feet and are waiting for you!
Are you an experienced tango dancer? All level classes have something for everyone. Fundamentals are key to tango growth. Our classes focus not only on steps and technique but also on connection, musicality and dynamics. Come help new dancers join the tango community and hone your skills in the five areas of focus!
No partner necessary. No experience needed!
All classes and events are open and affirming. We welcome all genders and sexual identities!

$12 one class
$32 monthly pass (4 classes for $8 each)

Argentine Tango is a heart centered dance. It is danced heart to heart and likewise Stephen Shortnacy teaches from the heart. Known for the musicality, dynamics, and smoothness that he brings to tango, Stephen strives to impart the techniques and elements that allow his students to find the coveted moments of tango bliss on a regular basis.
