An unique dance class and first of its kind in New England !
The class will divide instruction into Creative Modern Indian and Bollywood styles. This is a 8 class session and students have the option to be part of multiple stage performances at the end of session. Minirecital of what they have learnt will also be scheduled at the end of the session.
Susmita Biswas is a disciple of Mamta Shankar - who follows the style evolved by Uday Shankar, which has the inherent grammar of Classical Indian dance and yet is innovative, contemporary and not shackled with the moors of rigid rules. The graceful body movements are blended with the idiom of vibrant folk dances of India to attain a statuesque quality of lyricism.

The class will also include Bollywood Dancing - one of the hottest dances around and is a fusion of traditional classical Indian dance styles with the influence of jazz, hip-hop and modern creative dances.Timing, Rythm, Energy and Expression are the important elements of this dance.
