Music by DJ Mark. Why do we take lessons? The simple answer is, so we can really get out there and dance, and hopefully so we can do it better! Social Salsa Dancing is where we all really get to unwind, leave the stresses of family and work behind and simply enjoy our hobby. We are very lucky in Leeds that those of us who like to dance salsa have the option to dance literally any night of the week! From Crossbody Salsa, to Cuban Salsa to Street Salsa, Leeds has it all! Variety in spades! From the basement bars of distrikt and hifi to the lofty heights of the top floor venues of Kerala and Chilli's whites, the venues are an ever changing facet, a merry-go-round of possiblities! The true meaning of the salsa social is the connecting of likeminded people to have meet, have fun and really get down to the amazing music that is Salsa. A genre who's classic tunes span over four colourful decades! At Salsa Rocks we are proud to offer 2 solid hours of social dancing after our classes, free to all class goers, or a very competitive 3 for people dropping in only to dance. DJ Mark Johnson on the Decks every Wednesday from 10pm at the Kerala Restaurant function room. As soon as we finish our Salsa Classes on Wednesdays, the night turns into a busy midweek salsa social. The biggest tastiest scoops of Salsa with lashings of Bachata and Cha Cha!! Whether you're a salsa virgin or a seasoned addict, come, immerse yourself in the rhythms of salsa and have a boogie! Where mixed-music nights cannot always quite cut it - this Salsa social guarantees to fuel your sals'addiction, get you into your groove and really work out your moves on that dancefloor. Bring your dance shoes, friends and big smiles! Let's set the dancefloor on fire!!!!!
