El Abrazo Estudio del Tango Riga was founded on May 4, 2011, and serves as both a place to learn Argentine tango and a club to meet friends from Latvia and other countries, immersing oneself in the atmosphere of Argentine tango, developing tango skills together with experienced teachers and excellent professionals from abroad - DANCE TANGO.
El Abrazo Tango Studio is dedicated to the development and popularization of Argentine tango. Our studio is known by it’s knowledgeable and experienced tango teachers and dancers who have developed their tango skills both in Latvia and abroad, including in Argentina.
El Abrazo Tango Studio offers regular tango classes for groups and individuals at various skill levels - for beginners, intermediate, advanced - for experienced dancers. Each week, tango dancers from Riga and guests from other cities also come to dance with us at our weekly milonga.
In addition, several times a year, we organize special large-scale tango events both in the studio and elsewhere in Riga and Latvia. These include seminars and masterclasses by globally renowned tango masters, as well the international tango events - marathons in Liepaja, now Amber Sea Liepaja Tango Marathon in July, and international tango festivals El Abrazo de Riga in autumn and sprng, where tango enthusiasts - our friends and supporters from around the world - have been gathering since 2014, who, if you wish, can also become your friends.
